List of artworks by artist ARDPG (1980 - )

ARDPG is born in Périgueux in 1980. He chose this pseudonym in order to better blend in the urban landscape. In the halls of the RATP metro where passersby stride he hangs posters with public service reminders, in metro carriages he diffuses humoristic public notices in the form of pointed aphorisms, which make hurried commuters smile.

The artist’s major sources of inspiration are the urban art which he loves to put into dialogue with his knowledge of art history (Masters, 2006). The artist returns to Artsuggest.com for a second solo exposition, with a selection of more intimate works, certain abstracts created around his favorite theme, the confrontation between artistic universes and different styles playing with established graphic codes.

The new works have all been executed on paper with elements that are pasted, torn, scraped from the canvass and are the fruit of reflection on the superposition and the hijacking of graphic elements for which the end goal is to again have us ask ourselves about the power of the image and the power of words.
